India’s Russian oil imports rose to a six-month high in terms of volume and value in November 2025, with its share in India’s overall oil imports rising to 35%, latest official data showed.

This comes at a time when there has been little progress in finalising a trade deal with the U.S. However, at the same time, India has also increased its purchases of American oil, which jumped to a seven-month high in November 2025, with the U.S. accounting for nearly 13% of India’s oil imports that month.
